From the very first contact, the customer service was frendly and welcoming. We made this really extempore.The one-hour horse trek was absolutely incredible. The route was breathtaking. The horses were calm, well cared for, and a joy to ride. We loved every single moment of this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip.Our guide was wonderful. She took her time with us, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the experience. Her kindness and love for the horses truly shone through.The farm was absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained.We feel incredibly lucky to have experienced this with you. I already made horseback rides in Switzerland, Chile, Argentina, Kirgistan and Kasachstan. - This tour is definitly a must have! - The horses are very calm, well trained and will enjoy the beautiful winter landscape as well as the rider.For riders with basic experience it is also possible to start on a training ground before going on the trail.

Pick up from port by friendly driver, Thor and driven to the beautiful farm in stunning scenery. The family are really friendly and welcoming chatting about the animals and their way of life. The sleigh ride was perfect and the horses beautiful. Home baked warm cinnamon buns and cured meats with a hot drink were served in the cosy Sami tent.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. We are still thinking about and talking about it, now that we are back in England. Forget the large coach party tours because this is the one for you. You are treated as one of the family and we met so many of them right from their 4 year old lovely granddaughter to their charming grandmother. You can enjoy all the details of the fabulous long sleigh ride, meeting the animals inside as well as out, and the delicious food provided, by looking down below this review. We can only agree with everything we read there. Thanks again to one and all for such a memorable morning on the ice and snow. Wish we could come again.

This was a lovely private visit with a family in Alta. It included transportation to the farm. While there we were given a beautiful sleigh ride around their farm. They provided warm blankets. After we were taken into a wood fire heated tent and were served fresh meats, cinnamon buns and coffee and tea. The buns were amazing. We then had a chance to visit the barn to see more horses and sheep. The women running the experience were very friendly and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. At the end we were transported back to our ship by Marit and she gave us some history of the town and saw some beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this excursion if you would like an intimate and relaxing experience.

This family run farm was so beautiful and so were our hosts. Sleighride thru the property in the snow was fabulous. We were treated to coffee and a snack after the ride and got to meet some of the sheep and hear a bit about what it's like to run a farm and live in the Arctic.

There were four of us riding yesterday – and it was just a wonderful, almost magical experience! The ride took place at night, while it snowed very slightly, which made the atmosphere incredibly special.Two of us had no riding experience at all, but it all worked without any problems. The horses were calm, good-natured and just great, so that everyone could really feel safe and comfortable. The whole farm is designed with so much love that you immediately felt like you were on a cozy ranch.As a perfect conclusion, we had a homemade meal around the campfire while we sat together in a relaxed round and chatted nicely. It was just a wonderful experience all around, which we will not forget anytime soon!

From pick up from the port to the family Farm. Thor the driver told us a little history about Alta. He was very welcoming. The family farm we got a lovely welcome a beautiful scenic sleigh ride. Then a hot drink with beautiful homemade cinnamon buns. A lovely chat around the fire. Wonderful didn't want it to end. Highly recommend. Thank you for a beautiful morning.

So. Much. Fun. What a lovely farm and family. Easy pick up and drop off, lovely warm welcome and beautiful scenery. Well worth the money. Yummy snacks by their fireplace lavvu. Highly recommend!

It was brilliant. I was picked up at the harbour and spent the day out with the guide on my own. We had a campfire; we were really lucky and saw lots of reindeer. We had a dog sled encounter, enjoyed the sunshine and campfire tea – it was really wonderfully organised and it was a very, very, very lovely tour along the Roiver .Gloths, Shows &Helmet available

We were collected near our cruise ship with another couple. Driven by one of the daughters to their family farm. The 4 of us got in a wooden horse drawn sleigh. The other daughter took us for a lovely ride through the snow, around their farm. We then went in a Sami style tent for a tapas meal. The food was great, salmon, reindeer, cheese, cloudberry chutney etc. Then we went to see the horses and sheep. They love to be stroked. Through the whole trip we heard about local life, which was interesting. We were then driven back to the port. This is a fantastic trip that we didn’t want to end. The family are lovely and welcoming. They only take small groups, just the 4 of us that day, which was great. Our favourite trip of the holiday.

Excellent trip. Highly recommended. Lovely family who gave us a great insight into life in Alta on the farm. Animals were lovely and well cared for. Food was amazing and served in the Sami tent.

Lovely people very kind,The farm was wonderful, horses were great pulling us along the snow.Afterwards we went in to.tent for coffee and snacks,with a lovely log fire.Wonderful.

This may have been the highpoint of our trip. We were on a cruise and had already seen the northern lights several times - but this experience was special - it turned out that we were the only two people on this tour and Vigo picked us up at the cruise dock meeting place. The drive to the farm was only about 35 minutes. Upon arrival at the farm, his daughter and granddaughter were waiting with the Norwegian Fjord Horse- drawn sleigh and they drove us around the farm for about 40 minutes. It was a cold (around 20 degrees (F)) evening and the sky was clear. The ride was beautiful and quiet and then they took us to their "lavvu" for some homemade cinnamon buns and sheep sausage and hot tea/chocolate. We also got a tour of the barn with their horses and sheep as this is primarily a sheep farm. Three generations live and work on the farm. The family was delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. On the way back, Vigo spotted the northern lights just before we got on the main highway and we had our last look at the spectacular aurora before getting back to the ship. This was a very special outing and i would highly recommend this to others.

We enjoyed our sleigh ride it was longer than we anticipated with beautiful scenery. After the sleigh ride we had homemade cinnamon rolls that were excellent and dried meat samples. The family farm is great. Relaxing atmosphere with a nice family. The took extra time to show us the farm animals, sheep, horses, ponies and bunnies. Pick up and drop off were easy to find and close to where our ship docked. On the way back the driver made an extra stop for scenic pictures. I highly recommend.

The pick up was easy and relatively close to our docked cruise ship. Viggo transported us to and from Alta to the farm and shared information along the way. Incredible scenery seen along the way. Such gracious hosts and the sleigh ride was magical. Got to see the sheep and horses and learn about the farm. It was truly a wonderful experience.
