Easter in Ulvik (Updated 2026)

We really enjoyed this RIB boat trip! The guide was great. He stopped to tell us some interesting history at key points and was very friendly and helpful in getting our weather gear on. This was a fun experience for all and a great way to experience the fjord.

We had a great time! From first meeting our guide, to putting on the suits, to our time on the water, our experience was amazing! Our guide was a great captain and had so much knowledge about the area. We loved our trip and would highly recommend this experience to other travelers.

Ulvik is a beautiful place, when the weather is good. It is very quiet and there is not a lot to do, but there is hiking in the area and the cider route is fun. It is a great place to escape the heat of the rest of Europe, or of the US, in August. Crowds are minimal after the official end of the Norwegian summer holidays, on around 20 August. There can, however, be large crowds on tour buses in Ulvik or on cruise ships in nearby fjords. There is a public ferry to visit other fjords, so you do not have to book a tour. Mostly, Ulvik is a place to relax, admire the beauty of nature, and unwind. Do not expect a lot of activities or restaurants; there is a fantastic waterfall about an hour away by car.

WOW. Rob our pilot was BRILLIANT. Fantastic experience, Rob was so informative and great company. Could not fault anything from start to finish. We would Highly recommend this adventure, you wont regret it. The hotel start point in Ulvik is beautiful, as is the hotel. Just superb, thank you Rob for a great time, we will remember this for a long time.

It was a very nice tour, nice guide also who knew a lot about fjord life. We were only 2 people, so just a private tour, so nice that he let it go anyway! At my request he later sent me some film clips that he filmed with the go-pro, sooo much fun! So highly recommended 🙏

We had an incredible time. Our 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son loved it. It was amazing to see the fjords from the water. The guide was great, knew a lot about the area, stopped at beautiful spots, and even provided some excitement (suitable for children too)!

Nice tour! Guide really knows what he's talking about! We weren't with many people because it was a late tour, but he didn't cancel and still wanted to do the tour with us. Would recommend :)

Beautiful views of Hardangerfjorden. Our captain was insightful and talked about local and historic sites in the fjord. We experienced parts of Norway where you cannot go by car. This was a peak event on our road trip in Norway.

The appointment takes place in the beautiful lobby of the Brakanes hotel. The guide was extremely kind and friendly. We had a wonderful visit to the fjord with thrills also thanks to these very fast boats. We recommend 300%! It will remain a wonderful memory for us!

A very fun tour, we enjoyed both the tour and the views. The Guide’s explanations were interesting and he stopped at several places to take pictures.
