I was visiting Georgia for the first time and wanted a Caucasus Mountain day trip. Mountain Freaks offers a Juta Valley hike to Chaukhi Pass (3300m) which was just what I was looking for. My guide Keti got back to me right away, we met a day in advance to confirm logistics, and had a great day on the trail. I initially thought about doing this on my own, but I’m very glad I went with Keti. The trip to the trailhead is not rental-car friendly and involves some transfers and shuttles. The trail itself has several options and branches and river crossings that literally change by the hour (no joke). Managing the pace and expectations is tricky plus it’s nice to have a fun companion for the day. Keti got my 69-year old body to the pass and spent some quality time waiting for the clouds to dissipate and give us a view of the lakes. I was very glad I hired Mountain Freaks for the climb.

An excellent experience in Kazbegi! From the booking until the end, the whole experience was smooth. The father and son guide and driver (sorry forgot your names!) offered such positive energy and interaction. I wish they would organise all tour experiences in Georgia, we loved their friendliness and welcoming attitude! The hike to waterfall was a magnificent way to experience Georgian nature. Would love to visit again!

Efficient budget travel from Kazbegi to Tbilisi. Vehicle was clean and guide was well communicative via WhatsApp regarding pick-up time (note that the pick-up from Kazbegi is FROM 4:30, ours was delayed to 5pm due to traffic on the day). Just FYI, no eating is allowed in the vehicle so if you like snacking during the transfer, you may want to book another transportation.

We loved the activity and also the communication via WhatsApp .Horses are very calm and suited for every level (beginner or advanced) Even without asking they took some additional pictures of us on pur horse and have sent them to us via WhatsApp afterwards. Assure you wear according clothing and wear long pants (no flip flops !) I'd really recommend this tour !

The horse leader (Luka) met us by Rooms hotel with a couple of prepped horses, Luka helped us saddle up (it’s been over a decade since we did this) and led us up to the Elia camp trail until we reached Elia Monastery, I’d recommend wearing light for the summer (also our time was 12 pm). The views are photogenic and by the monastery we got down to explore then went back up the saddle for our way down. Luka was kind to us (not as kind to the horses 😬)

For me it was an amazing trip ahead of going to Bethlemi Hut with Keti from Mountain Freaks. I went to the peak of Angel Mountain in early June 26. It was an incredible hike for me, my first at altitude. Keti is a great guide, caring, professional and with a sense of humour. She has a great passion for these mountains which is a bonus. I was glad I got to go with her to Bethlemi Hut as well because of the experience of Angel Mountain. The views were incredible, the track varied. I'd recommend for everybody who wants to try Bethlemi Hut or Kazbeg.

Amazing tours. We had a wonderful trip. Our tour guide, Nick is very informative. Despite the cold weather, we still had a nice time. The van is warm and cozy and the driver Tatav is very skillful in navigating the snowy road.

It was a trip by myself, but I didn't hesitate as I was able to WhatsApp polite announcements. The meeting point is also worth a visit because it has a view at a famous hotel. Overall, it was very easy to understand, and I was able to go home safely on the way back to Tbilisi.
