Sarria Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This was my first solo trip abroad and I did know what to expect. Our guide set a high bar for future guided trips I may take. Everything about the trip was excellent from lodging, to the food and to the communication. Our guide was phenomenal- he was well informed about the journey we were undertaking, he purposefully worked to build a community among our group of 10; he was acutely aware of each member of the group and tended to each of us: whether offering words of motivation or encouragement. My group was fortunate to have his expertise in guiding us through our journey.

This was such an amazing experience! I was very impressed with how this trip was planned and executed. Our guide, Mark, was amazing and so knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was very helpful with restaurant recommendations for lunches and snacks outside of the provided meals. The hotels that we stayed in were very accommodating and each included meal offered choices of local foods. I would definitely recommend booking a trip through Camino Ways. They made everything so easy so we could just enjoy the experience.

I hired the Path from Sarria in a group. Naturally, when going alone, fears, uncertainties, etc., come to mind. But now I can say that from minute one it has been an exceptional experience. The organization by the agency is unbeatable, and the guides (Damián and Hugo) are exceptional, with outstanding professionalism. Always providing guidance, advice, caring for everyone, waiting for us halfway through the stage, at the end, every few kilometers, etc. It has been an experience that I will always remember, and within me remains the magic of the path, which transformed the kilometers of distance into kilometers of lived experiences and the slopes into plains. "Do not come to the path seeking answers. Come with an open heart and mind. You will be surprised by what you can find," and so it is. A thousand thanks for everything. We had a faultless experience with Camino Ways. Everything from accommodation, meals and baggage transfer between hotels. A fantastic walking experience from Sarria to Santiago, meeting so many lovely people from all different nationalities which really made the experience feel special.

I'm so glad we chose CaminoWays to help us plan our Camino. We were 8 family members, so coordinating the lodging was a big job. The places that CaminoWays selected were really great. They all had wonderful customer service and really great food. While they were usually a bit out of the way (outside of the major towns), that added to their charm. One thing, be prepared for no air conditioning. We had asked for that in our lodgings but we realized that AC just doesn't exist in the majority of places on the Camino. And really, except for one night, we really didn't need it. One other thing, I do hope they implement a dedicated app in the future. It will make getting info about the different guest houses out to a larger group easier.If we do another Camino, I would definitely choose CaminoWays to help plan it.

What a wonderfully well-oiled trip! Hotels were great, slept, breakfast, walked, luggage delivery, repeat! Definitely an experience to take using this package!

Walked the 115km from Sarria to Santiago with an extra 2 nights stay in Santiago. Everything went smoothly from the taxi pickup at the airport to the hotel bookings. Luggage transfer service was excellent - my suitcase always turned up as expected at the next overnight stop which enabled me to travel light. Hotels en route were good and had everything I needed. Whilst travelling solo, I was never really alone due to the number of fellow travellers I met along the way - the atmosphere was very convivial. Throughly enjoyed this trip and already thinking about returning to do one of the other Camino routes. I would definitely book through Caminoways again.

All of them of excellent quality, good accommodations in high-quality places, comfortable and extremely clean facilities, friendly service, exquisite breakfasts (an option we chose to add), first-class airport transfers and punctuality, and not less important, close to the road and near the city center. Our expectations were greatly exceeded, and without a doubt, Camino de Santiago Travels will be our first choice for a new journey, and we would recommend it to those who wish to undertake it.

Recalculating my Way. What an experience of the hand of Viaje Camino de Santiago! For me, indelible. Individual accommodation package in boarding house: great experience and great boarding houses that more like three star hotels than use boarding houses. Very decent mattresses and bathrooms. Great choice by the Camino de Santiago Agency. Our guides, Momo and Mauli, fulfilled their mission and gave us great advice on where we should stop to replenish our strength for quality and price. Thanks to them, among other things, I tried the best zamburinas of my life. As for individual experience: a 10! To be walking paths that were traveled by pilgrims since the 9th century... goose bumps! Historical, human and cultural legacy give the Camino a mystical, historical and cultural sense outside of everything experienced so far. Highly recommended the experience of the road through Viaje Camino De Santiago! Highly recommended!
