It wasn't a planned trip for me and i just decided to go one day before and i can tell you it is totally worth it and it became a memorable life experience for me. For thoes who are adventurous and like wildlife and nature, this is the trip for you with no doubt. Erik was so awesome in explaining all the details and he has plenty of interesting information about bears, wildlife and Tatra mountains !It was my first time doing such a 19 KM hike up to 700 m above sea level, i totally recommend this trip for thoes who are physically fit and can walk for hours. Based on my analysis, It is an intermediate difficulty trip not an easy one.We have seen plenty of deers and a single intermediate-size bear 🐻 at the end of the trip. (At least we were lucky to see one)

My wife and I are from Singapore. We booked a bear watching hike with Erik in the Tatras mountains. Erik is an excellent guide who clearly cares a lot about the mountains and the animals living there. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly and knowledgeable. The binoculars which he provided to us for the hike were very good and we could see the bears through the lenses very clearly. We felt safe at all times, in large part because Erik ensured we practiced good bear watching etiquette. The hike itself was also very enjoyable as there were wild blueberries to eat along the way. The whole hike took about 8 hours. We saw 4 bears, a lone female and a mother with 2 cubs. Erik shot great videos which he shared with us after the trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves hiking and animals.

We had a wonderful experience hiking to Končistá. The entire trip was carried out in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, making it enjoyable from start to finish. Throughout the ascent, we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the High Tatras and the surrounding landscape.Everything went smoothly, the route was well managed, and we always felt comfortable and safe. A big thank you to Marcel, Danka, and Michal for their professionalism, great company, and positive attitude.I can wholeheartedly recommend a hike to Končistá with Marcel, Danka, and Michal to anyone looking for an unforgettable mountain experience with stunning scenery and excellent guidance.

Good guide very knowledgeable paid a lot of money though

Jan and his wife Lilian were amazing hosts and Jan literally worked miracles in finding long lost relatives of my husband's. We provided Jan with some basic documents and several old photographs, and from just that, he was able to personally track down my husband's father's ancestral village and even several distant family members we didn't know existed! Then he took us to the villages to meet them, and translated conversations for us and shared cultural customs with us so we would be prepared. It was a wonderful experience, and it would definitely not have been possible without Jan's persistence and diligence and dedication. In addition to the ancestral work, Jan was AMAZING as our personal host and tour guide all over Slovakia, so we could experience the awesome history, culture and Unesco treasures of his country. The accommodations he and Lilian provide are first rate, comfortable, and include wonderful views of the High Tatras mountains! Being from the USA, Slovakia is a virtual unknown to most Americans, but after our trip, we share our experiences with Jan and Slovakia quite often. Both he and Lilian and their family demonstrate pride and joy in Slovakian history, culture, and values, and we are so fortunate to have found him online and learned all about extended family and the country. We would HIGHLY recommend Experience Slovakia!

It was a breath taking experience to see wild bears live: feeling the spirit of freedom and peace in connection with them. Was not my last tour there, more the beginning of a lifelong tour with those beautiful proud beings. Comfortable boots are an advantage :-))

We spent a wonderful day hiking in the Tatra mountains with Erik. He picked a great trail for our activity level. We hiked 8 miles through the beautiful forest. We stopped for lunch at a chalet overlooking a lake. And we got rewarded for our efforts with cake and coffee at the end. Now we want to come back to Slovakia for the wildflowers and bear viewing trips. You cannot go wrong with doing anything with Adventoura !

The bear tour with Erik was a lot of fun. He kindly picked us up from our vacation spot and brought us back there, so we didn't have an extra trip. We were equipped with binoculars and walked up a really beautiful hiking trail. In the process, Erik kept giving us useful and interesting information about the forest, the mountains, but above all the bears. Although it was very hot on our day and it therefore took a while until we could see animals, Erik did not give up on looking for a bear with us, which we were then actually able to watch eating blueberries. It also helped that the group was kept very small so that time was taken for all questions and comments. It was an entertaining and very beautiful day in the High Tatras.

On July 29, 2026, I took part in the ascent of Satan. Mountain guide Marcel Kubinský is a professional who places the utmost emphasis on safety, composure, and professionalism. The hike was perfect—an experience of a lifetime.

Trip was beautiful, what is not surprising in Slovak mountains. Due to guides and guys who joined us it was also pleasant day. Guides are very proffesional, friendly and natural. Everything went perfect.

It was really easy to figure out a route that fulfilled my wishes and ideas. The nature was awesome and we we walked a solid 12km hike through Slovensky Raj. Some facts about history and wildlife added to the wonderful experience which I highly recommend :)

Erik tailored our hike to exactly what we wanted - an experience in the High Tatras without killing ourselves. We had the perfect combination of a nice walk with spectacular views, an introduction to what it takes to be a ski jumper, and how to find bears in the Tatra forests. If you’re visiting in winter, go skiing, snow boarding or dog sledding with Erik! He speaks perfect English and has worked and traveled around the world. You’re in for a treat if you can spend some time in the High Tatras with Erik!

Our group of four had an amazing day on the Via Ferrata in Veľký Kyseľ Slovak Paradise with Marcel, and it became the highlight of our holiday.It was our first time ever on a via ferrata, and this one was a great choice – manageable for us as beginners as well as technically exciting with beautiful nature views. A big thanks for this amazing experience to our via ferrata guide – Marcel. We got inspired for more via ferratas in the future.Marcel is an exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and caring mountain guide. He made us feel safe and confident throughout the whole trip while creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with his great sense of humour. He shared so many stories about the history of the area, as well as its flora and fauna, which made the experience much more than just a hike.As rather introverted people, we especially appreciated how easy and comfortable Marcel was to interact with. We never felt rushed or pressured, and he was always attentive, supportive, but at the same time relaxed during the moments when we were just enjoying nature in silence.A lovely bonus was that he also took and shared beautiful photos from the day, which was more than we expected and something we really appreciated.Even days later we kept saying, "Marcel told us this..." or "Marcel showed us that...", which says a lot about the lasting impression he made.We all returned home with wonderful memories and would wholeheartedly recommend Marcel to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and passionate mountain guide. Also – the Veľký Kyseľ via ferrata for beginners / families, looking for new kind of adventures.Thank you again for an unforgettable experience!

The tour was physically tough, but the view is worth it. Our guides Ferko and Danka were very kind and supportive. The tour took 10.5 hours, including a break at Teryho Chata on the way back. We were a group of 7 people + 2 guides. It was really nice to share experiences among other people who like hiking. Admission fee is adequate. Comunnication with Mr Kubinsky is really nice and fair. We would totally recommend the tour to those who like hiking and are physically fit.

Marcel was a fantastic guide and made our time in the High Tatras really special. He was friendly, patient and clearly knew the mountains inside out.He had so much knowledge about the area and was happy to answer all our questions along the way. I also really appreciated how safe and well looked after we felt throughout the trip, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience.On top of that, he took loads of great photos for us, which was such a nice bonus and gave us brilliant memories to look back on.I would absolutely recommend Marcel to anyone visiting the Slovak mountains. Great guide, great company, and a trip we will not forget.
