We had Sally take our tour, it was a big group but we could hear her clearly throughout the whole tour. She was very knowledgeable and engaging with the group, which was really lovely to experience ☺️ you can tell she loves the history and story of the Blue Mansion. I had the privilege of enjoying a private tour of the Blue Mansion with Sally Lim. Her storytelling was compelling and passionate, factually precise and relevant to the historical context and the legacy of the man who built the Mansion. I particularly liked the references to Cheong's romantic lives and women who made the house a legendary space. I treasure my moments at the center of the Feng Shui lower level design. How do we need this vision of construction and architecture, ever attentive to the ways through which nature can empower human wellness and heal our traumas.

Great walking food tour within interesting insights into Georgetown's history. Our guide Brendan was very engaging and showed us some great food options including several different cuisines. Our favourite was the Michelin samosas but we loved everything! We covered quite a big area of Georgetown but the pace was pretty relaxed and we stopped at 6 places. Brendan also provided us with some further suggestions for places to eat in other areas of Penang. Would definitely recommend this tour to first time visitors to Georgetown.

Guide Alexis was personable, entertaining, knowledgeable and clearly loves her subject matter. She covers all the bases: history, reconstruction process, architecture, social environment, personalities involved and more. I heartily recommend this tour provided in a stunning setting -- and the food and drinks in the adjacent café are delicious!

This tour was wonderful! We were very lucky to be guided by one of the owners of the mansion, who regaled us not only with stories about Cheong Fatt Tze and his historical legacy, but also stories about the monumental effort to restore the mansion - a process that took 6+ years. The mansion itself is gorgeous and the guided tour shed light on the traditional Chinese architectural principles that guided its construction. I came away with an even greater appreciation of the mansion's significance to Penang's heritage and local history, as well as the dedication and love that went into restoring this mansion and opening it to the public.

What an excellent way to explore the city and the cuisine. We ate in three restaurants covering the 3 main cuisines. Malay (Nyonya) Indian & Chinese. Gary our guide knew the food very well explained the history and cooking techniques. Also allowed us enough choice that no one missed out. Additionally he has a strong knowledge of history and culture of the place. We learnt a lot and got some excellent recommendations for future meals and nights out. Cannot recommend highly enough

Brandon was outstanding and we enjoyed each of the neighborhoods and restaurants. Penang is an interesting city and we are really enjoying Malaysia

A very enjoyable tour. Brandon is a great host who put his small group of strangers at ease straight away. We had an adventure filled with delicious food, good company and fascinating insights of culture and history. It was not only a highlight of our Penang stay but it gave us confidence to order and eat at local spots. We returned to the Ayam ros, chicken samosa and Char Koay Teow spots he introduced us to. The meeting spot even became our cold drink oasis when we were in that area. Thanks again Brandon

Definitely need to make a reservation beforehand as the tours get busy. Well worth a visit. The tour leader was very informative. It is now also a hotel.
