A convenient way to learn about the history of Nantucket at your own pace and on your own time. Nice to be able to pause and rewind the information and easy to download the app.

Despite the fact that we caught no fish we had a great time, saw a beautiful part of the beach in Nantucket and learned a few things about fishing!

If you are considering visiting the Whaling Museum it is good to purchase your admission ticket ahead of the tour. The pass is good all day with free readmission. Included with the Museum pass are free passes to some sites on the tour and other historical sites not included in the tour.

Finally took the high speed ferry with the Steamship Authority from Hyannis to Nantucket for a day trip. We decided to take our bikes so we could see more of island. We parked in a nearby lot so were able to ride out bikes right to pier. Check in super easy. They ask those with bikes to line up in different location as they are loaded in bottom of boat with luggage. The only thing we didn’t care for was that they don’t put bikes in self standing bike rack so basically pile bikes next to the others and since ours were first in, the potential for damage (scratches esp.) to your bike is high. Ferry ride very smooth and one can sit inside or outside, and they even have plugs by some seats for charging phones and numerous restrooms. After we got bikes we tried navigating the downtown area and found that with the narrow bumpy cobblestone streets, and hundreds of other visitors, it was nearly impossible to ride bikes, so had to basically walk our bikes out of downtown area to get to streets where we could safely ride. After that we found some paved streets that we could rode to some of the bike trails to explore the island. Rode mostly on north side of island past fabulous homes and beaches. Next trip we will explore southern coast. Lots of expensive shopping and restaurants in downtown area. Visited the Whaling museum which has fair amount of history about Nantucket. Loved their rooftop area where you have fantastic views of harbor. Public Restrooms in downtown area at numerous spots. Visiting in September just after Labor Day still hectic but pleasant. We will definitely make a return trip and maybe stay at one of the many quaint inns.

I stumbled across this virtually-led scavenger hunt and decided to sign up my family and our BFFs. We were on the island for a short stay, but thought this would be a fun bonding activity. It exceeded our expectations! We were sent a slideshow with various things to do, see, and find. We appreciated that the hunt didn’t always look for specific things but let us use our imaginations to complete the tasks. We met a dozen people that helped us along the way. We plan to do this again in another city. BTW - We are in first place at 15 million points. We challenge you to try to beat us! -Team Nantucket Buckets

We loved running around Nantucket trying to complete the 300k and 600k points. It was so much fun meeting new people and laughing with my friends over this experience. Would recommend to anyone.10/10

Frankly, our Tour Guide and Bus Driver Patricia was a hoot! Her knowledge of Nantucket was wonderful with non stop factual local and historic information, filled with laughter, humor, joy and even singing..she was fun, entertaining and very very careful to keep us safe in heavy traffic and sometimes challenging road conditions that can happen in highly visited locations. All and all she made our guided trip about Nantucket a fun and memorial event! Thanks Patricia and God Bless Doris and Cathy (the Sisters)...keep singing Proud Mary and Under the Board Walk!!!

Very informative. I had done quite a bit of reading about the history of Nantucket before my vacation trip to the island. The audio tour covered all of the important people and events that I had read about. The audio tour captured the important essence of early Nantucket…a perfect glimpse back into a time long gone. If you don’t sign-up for this audio tour, you’ll be missing out on what made the island an important part of American History.

Good little insights of the island, its industry, and people. Enjoyed the narration! We were here during great weather!

Great time with Steve. He was extremely knowledgeable and treated us like we were a part of his family. My 14 year old grandson, who is really into fishing, thought he was great. We all had a really fun time.

If you want to fish while in Nantucket, book a trip with Steve Tuna. He is the nicest host and takes care of everything. He will do everything possible to make it fun and memorable. My son, father and husband had a great time and caught some sizeable bluefish. Steve-we can't thank you enough. We hope to see you again in the future!

Overall loved the tour and would recommend! Great way to explore the island. The only issue is the navigations. When we made a wrong turn we lost track of the audio and kept having to restart.
