Mannheim Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This is my second Carl experience (the first was a third wheel to coworkers at a book publishers convention and by the end, they were offering me a job and took me to dinner 😆).The SECOND round - better than the first, which is wild to say. Carl meets you at your hotel with a bottle in hand for the drive to winery Number 1. The boutique winery experience is so intimate, and Carl has such a great relationship with all of the owners. Tasted over 30 wines across three wineries - and he will adapt the itinerary to preference and history.SUCH a wonderful experience. Again. I’ve talked about my first trip for years, and apparently it still exceeded my husband’s (and MY) expectations.Just book it. Seriously.

Fun mystery game, beside clues there are also some nice puzzles, code solving in the game (not too easy, not too hard).Beside big sightseeing locations the trail goes around cute smaller streets as well, so it was a nice way to go around the city and to see some hidden gems, less crowded places.The app works well, saves your progress as you go, so you can take a break and continue anytime. Sometimes I needed to close and reopen it to align the location tracker, otherwise had no problem with it.Thank you for this experience ❤️

One gets to know the city well, in our case Mannheim. There are exciting puzzles, and one can play together or against each other. Top, would love to do it again!

Michael was a wonderful tour guide who knew the sites and history very well. He was very informative and knew of Mannheim's history. Very happy with everything.

This was a great tour lead by an excellent guide, Michael. He really knew the history of Germany and selected specific spots in Mannheim for us to take in the high points. He took us on a walk through key areas and gave us time to take a photo when we wanted. I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits the area.

This was an excellent tour with a truly knowlegeable tour guide! Michael was extremely informative - he clearly knew his stuff! While our tour was only an hour, we learned more on this tour than we had in other cities in much more time. He provided highlights and extra "bits" that you might now find in a common tour book. He took us to several sights throughout town and gave us an opportunity to take a picture when we wanted one. He made suggestions for additional spots to visit, outside the range of our tour as well. Michael was probably the best tour guide we have had in our 2 weeks in Germany.

In Heidelberg our designated driver come tour guide was Mike . A pleasant mannered , very knowledgeable and friendly person. He gave us a thorough history of all the places he took us , so we knew exactly what had been the historical background of each place. Thanks to Mike and the team for a day worth it .

Mike did an amazing job. We learned so much in just one day. I tried to book another day after we had so much fun but he was booked for the rest of the week. Excellent, knowledgeable, fun, and the list goes on. We will definitely be using him again in the future.

Our tour with Lisa in Mannheim was a revelation of the city's photogenic secrets. From stunning architecture to hidden alleys, she showed us the best spots for capturing unforgettable photos. A fantastic experience, thank you!

Carl is amazing and so knowledgeable about wine and the area. He will plan the day for whatever you want to see or try, and he knows of many truly hidden gems. I can’t recommend this enough.

We had a lovely day with Carl. It turned out to be just the two of us so we had a private wine tour and ride all day. From the moment we were picked up to drop off everything went great. Explored the Rhine region and tasted plenty of wine. We detoured and went to a brewery for lunch, which actually was perfect. Don’t hesitate to book this day trip from Frankfurt. Carl is a wonderful host

Super entertaining game and a very nice way to walk around town. We would have liked it much better if the tour had included more of the city's famous sights. As experienced players of this type of family game, we are definitely very satisfied. We will play again!

Our tour guide Mike was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge of the area as well as history of the town and surrounding areas. He was very friendly and fun to be with.
