Malibu Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The Getty Villa is a multi layered, packed experience. On meeting, our guide Kara led us to a high point and provided an overview of what we were seeing, how we would proceed through the Villa, and of what the builders had in mind for the structure. We proceeded through time viewing the art that captured the history and how the people lived at that time. An orderly and engaging discussion that was easy to absorb and remember.

This was a great experience. I was hosting a girls weekend looking for something to do in Malibu. The "hike" was relaxed - you walk through a beautiful property in the mountains and learn a lot about the history of the area and the family who runs the winery. There are animals to pet and added bonus of actual indian cave paintings that were probably worth the admission alone! Our guide Stephanie was really fun and super knowledgable about the place. She rolled with the punches when we were late, another party cancelled, and it started raining! I would totally take guests back here!

It wasn’t my first time at the Getty Villa , but it was certainly the best one in terms of immersion in Ancient Rome daily life. The real added value was Sasha, our art historian tour guide, with her knowledge and enthusiasm. She really conquered us. She was just back from a trip in Italy visiting the excavations at Pompeii and Herculaneum , therefore she was able to provide us the updates about the recent discoveries. We already had Sasha as tour guide last year at the Getty Museum and we were very lucky to have her for this tour too. What we really appreciated it was her ability to entertain us for more than two hours , transporting us all the time into the daily life of the Ancient Rome “ gentes”. We really wanted to know more and more about Paul Getty and the beautiful place he created. I highly recommend to visit the Getty Villa having a tour with Sasha.

I had the time of my life surfing with Ric! He is an incredible teacher—calm, experienced, and encouraging. He helps you feel at ease from the moment you grab the board. I loved the attention to detail and tips he shared with me during our private lesson. I stood up with every wave and rode the last one all the way into the shore. I’m still dreaming about this experience! If you have even a small desire to try surfing, please do it! I’m counting down the days until I can return to Malibu. Thank you Ric!!

Ben was a fantastic tour guide and we loved meeting all the animals along the way! The wine break mid way was perfect timing. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the vineyard and photo ops, and the hike is very doable ( with one or two steep hills along the way). Well worth the price and at least one wine option for everyone in your party!

This was the perfect spot for a small and intimate milestone birthday celebration. It was a combination of good wine, friends, stunning views, animals, and a great vibe. Trey, our Tour guide was awesome, making sure we were having fun every step of the way while showing us the beautiful property and ensuring our glasses were always full. Highly recommend this experience!

Ric was amazing. Best instructor, best experience. 10/10 recommend. He was patient, kind, and made our friend’s birthday lesson a success!

I will be using this service from now on for all travel to and from LAX since the driver is always on time and accommodating. I have tried other services but the drivers cancel or don’t show.

We had a great experience with Tommy. Surf was rough that day, but he still helped our kids the best he could, and even when the surfboards didn’t work out, he ended up helping them get on the boogie boards, which was ideal given the surf conditions.

I was so excited to be able to sign up for this tour and it was amazing! Ben was an excellent guide, sharing the history of Saddlerock and answering questions. The tour was an easy, relaxing pace. The charcuterie was a perfect snack along the way as we sampled three wines. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

We had such a great time on our private 4x4 wine tour! Our tour guide, Kurt, was exceptional. The grounds of Malibu Wines are so beautiful and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Great trip. Jason is an awesome guide and was super easy to get along with. Trip was alot of fun, he takes pics and videos and sends them to you so you can just enjoy yourself without having to stop and take your own pics. He also brought along the coolest dog ever. Don't hesitate, book the trip!

Really fun and beautiful - riding the ridge of some of the hills overlooking Malibu and the ocean and then looking back toward the inland towns and mountains. The Electric Mountain bikes were excellent and made the ride so enjoyable and kept it exciting

Jason did a great job. He was very patient as we were beginners. He went out of his way to make the trip interesting and informative. It was a workout. First time ebike riders.
