Two great days in Hampi, thanks to our guide/driver Jilan bhai. The man knows everything in and outside town on his fingertips. While keeping a safe distance, prioritising privacy, he is a very friendly presence and adapts as per circumstances. He is a calming presence with a pleasing smile. Jilan works independently and in liaison with Ranjana guest house in the centre of wonderful Hampi. I travelled with him in his Tuktuk, though he also has a car if you wish. I first met Jilan around 4 years ago during my trip to Hampi. The experience was so good that when I planned my recent visit with my wife, I didn’t even think twice before contacting him again. What an absolutely fascinating and gorgeous place! We spent the full day with Rajesh (guide) and really enjoyed learning about the history and the mythology connected to Hampi. If you are planning to visit Hampi, we definitely recommend a guide - there's just too much to miss otherwise!

If there were more stars, I would give all of them to Vinny. He is proud of his heritage and loves land he lives in. And that makes him the best person to see Hampi with! My friends and I have been to Hampi 4 years in a row and yet, Vinny has managed to make the trip a little different everytime. Going with Vinny has another advantage because he also knows the right non-touristy places to eat, watch the sun rise and set, if one wants to experience. Plan your Hampi trip with Vinny soon!

Hampi with Vinny as a tour guide is amazing. He will show you around in his rickshaw and you will love every minute of it !!He took us to all the major attractions and also showed us their village life. We got to experience local cultures and food.

Mine and my sister's recent two-day trip to Hampi was amazing! We had a great time exploring the historical place and the experience was worthwhile, driving around the town with Vinny (our Rider). His auto was clean, and safe and had a great music system. Vinny is very friendly, funny, and always smiling, making our trip perfect! All the eating joints, and shopping areas he took us were simply the best. I will keep this short and sweet. Two day tour of Hampi with Mr Bhanu Prakash was superb. Communication was swift. Punctual, highly knowledgeable, informative and entertaining guide. Hampi is a beautiful place with lots of history. Try to visit all the main spots and avoid seeing everything, just for the sake of visiting. Plenty to walk so don't strain yourself. Network connectivity is a problem. Ask for wifi when entering a restaurant or hotel....makes life easier or carry plenty of cash. Main expenditure is on transport. For food definitely visit the mango tree near Virupaksha temple. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Cycle travel is exerting and terrain is not too great, so better to avoid. We communted via auto to all major attractions. It was extremely sunny when we visited last week during Diwali. Any amount of sunscreen and an umbrella didn't work. We got tanned pretty badly. To enjoy the trip thoroughly, visit only the major attractions. Vithala temple is a must visit. Virupaksha temple is beautiful. The museum is ok, not too great. Major ruins to visit are the elephants stable, clocktower, Lotus temple. Coracle boat ride in Sanapur is a lovely experience. Must try especially after 4 in the evening.
