The tour guide knows Beaufort. The tour lasted slightly more than 90 minutes and we were given history lessons the whole time. I wish I could remember her name but she was great!

This tour was enjoyable start to finish. Dean was an excellent guide and looked so handsome in his Union uniform. He was a wealth of knowledge and had a good sense of humor. Gave us an excellent overview of Beaufort before and during the Civil War. I just hope I can remember a fraction of what he told us. My only suggestion would be to have a few more pauses in the presentation. Otherwise, the job was very well done.

Oh my goodness! This is by far the best tour we've ever experienced. Our tour guide and driver, Dean, was superb! He dressed the part in Civil War garb, relayed the details of the multitude landmarks and historical events along the course of the tour, and the many questions throw his way were answered with obvious knowledge and authority. His passion for the area and its history was blatantly evident. He even regaled us with a song or two! If you're in Beaufort, this is definitely a worthy activity! Highly, highly recommended.

Terrific tour! Tour guide, Dean, is a wonderful host! He speaks with such passion about Beaufort and its critical part in the Civil War. And in the modeling of racial equity in the time of the Civil War, before, and after. Dean drove us slowly past many sites, sometimes pausing. As explained in its description, this tour does not stop for photos. But Kelly Tours gave us a large map of the town so that we could mark areas of interest and go back to them on our own, this is a great way to do it. I will take other friends on this tour in the future. Thank you, Dean, and Kelly Tours!
