Overview
Discover the art of Kyudo—traditional Japanese archery—in this authentic, beginner-friendly experience in Tokyo. With ample practice time, you’ll have many chances to shoot, receive personalized guidance, and refine your form. While beginners may not hit the target right away, many participants enjoy steady progress—and sometimes a lucky hit or two.
Your instructor is a certified DAN-level Kyudo master who has refined this program through thousands of sessions, making it accessible and enjoyable even for first-timers.
Important Information
The meeting point is not Tokyo Station. The venue changes by day; the exact location will be provided a few days before the experience. Late arrivals cannot join.
Optional Uniform Purchase: If you wish to buy a uniform, please provide gender type, height (cm), and waist (cm) at least 7 days before the activity. A new set (jacket, pants, belt) costs 20,000 yen, payable in cash on the day. Non-cancellable.

What To Expect
Welcome to Tokyo, Japan!
Experience KYUDO, the Japanese art of archery, the most beautiful, elegant martial art, with this program in Tokyo.
In Japan, KYUDO is recognized to be a “Dynamic ZEN Meditation”.
Believe it or not, the moment the arrow leaves your hand, you know it will hit the target.
Notably, guests can experience this in an official hall (not fake place build by individuals), at real competition range (not short range), and sometimes with regular archers.
And usually in Japan, when people take up KYUDO in the official hall in earnest, it takes several months of practice before they are allowed to actually shoot at a target, but this program lets you go straight into action.
Don a real traditional KYUDO uniform.
Get matched with a bow and arrows for your body.
Channel your inner spirits, but keeping your mind quiet, and try shooting an arrow at the middle of the target.
This experience is not commercialized for foreign tourists, but is a genuine experience in which local Japanese people also participate.

- 1. Participants in this program is for age 18 and over
- 2. Those who are unwell or under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to participate(and no refund)
- 3. This program departs just on time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate(and no refund)
- 4. Those who wish to enter the venue without participating in Kyudo are also required to pay an additional fee, which must be indicated at the time of request (those who have not paid will not be admitted to the venue)
- 5.Photography and video recording in the archery facility is restricted. Please follow the instructions of the guide
- 6.Please note: Since the dōgi (training uniform) is designed for the Japanese body type, those with larger arms or weight is over 150 kg, there is a possibility that a uniform may not fit. In that case, please understand that you may need to participate in regular clothing.
