Day 1: Lake Quinault + Pacific Coast

Leave Seattle and journey to the southern end of Olympic National Park and Lake Quinault. Explore some of the largest trees in the world as you wander through the old-growth rainforests surrounding the lake, and soak in the serenity that's already such a change from the bustle of the city only a few hours distant.

Continue towards the coast, and watch how the giant trees become shorter and gnarled as you approach the wind-whipped beaches of Olympic National Park.
Take a walk along the coastline and keep your eye out for interesting seashells among the driftwood.
Dinner will be beachside with a campfire before an early night to prepare for tomorrow's adventures.

Day 2: The famed Hoh Rainforest
Stop At: Hoh Rain Forest, 18118 Upper Hoh Road, Washington United States
We delve into the Hoh Rainforest to experience what is likely the quietest place in North America. By engaging the world through sound and taking time to truly listen, we give the forest a whole new life and maybe even find some deeper truths that extend beyond the edge of the trees. Once you dive into the intricate beauty of this ecosystem, you’ll never see the forest quite the same. Our relaxed pace allows us to move a few miles into the park, soaking in the subtle details of this place, the story it tells us, learn a little about the language of the birds, and even step into an ancient time when our presence in the forest was guided by a need to hear but not be heard.

Stop At: Ruby Beach, Washington United States
We'll make a stop at on of the most beautiful parts of the Olympic Peninsula - Ruby Beach. Take another beachside stroll to investigate the tide pools and see what creatures reside in these ever-changing waters. Plus, this is one of those places where it is impossible to take a bad picture.

Back to Kalaloch Lodge for tonight, and another night amongst the stars and waves on the coast.

Day 3: Lake Crescent + Hurricane Ridge
Stop At: Lake Crescent, Lake Crescent Rd, Washington 98363 United States
We head north from the beaches of the Western side of the Olympic Peninsula back into the alpine forests of towering trees as we near Lake Crescent. This massive, glacially carved lake is a our next stop, where we'll stretch our legs on the way to a secret waterfall.

Stop At: Hurricane Ridge, Washington United States
After lunch, we'll climb into the mountains, and up to famed Hurricane Ridge. We'll walk up Hurricane Hill to the literal high-point of your tour. Surrounded by alpine meadows and gorgeous vistas of the Olympics and the Sound, it can be difficult to look closer at hand to search for the black-tailed deer and Olympic marmots that live along the ridge.

Stop At: Washington State Ferries, 801 Alaskan Way, Pier 52, Seattle, Washington 98104 United States
We'll descend from Hurricane Ridge and make our way back to the city via van and a short ferry ride. You'll be granted an amazing skyline view of Seattle as you return across the Sound.
