Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls and Mt Hood Tour from Portland

I was in Portland for a week and decided to take two tours w/ Wildwood Tours. Our group was 7 people and we got Mark. We got really lucky because mark was knowledgeable, super engaging and overall an awesome guide ! He gave us really interesting fun facts and history of Oregon. We got to see 3 falls and each stop, I felt like we had more than enough time. The weather cooperated and the clouds cleared to get awesome views of Mt. Hood and we made a stop at a cute fruit stand on the way. Mark even let me get a closer look of Latourell Falls. Overall I would recommend to take this tour If you don’t want to rent a car and want to meet new people. My group was also great and we all actually ended up having lunch together at Full Sail Brewing (recommended by Mark).

The tour was amazing and breathtaking! The tour started very close from our hotel in downtown which we greatly appreciate it considering how we did not have to worry about driving a long way or being late. The size of our tour group was also pretty decent we were not too large of a group to worry to ask questions or interact with the tour guide. They take you to the amazing mountain area of Portland with lots of hidden treasures in the way. Our tour guide was also absolutely amazing and knowledgeable about everything regarding Portland. One thing that I would recommend for anyone who is interested in taking this tour is to wear comfortable walking shoes considering how you are going to be climbing/walking a lot in this tour. The van was also pretty clean and safe to travel, (many of the members of our tour even took a nap on our way back to our hotels, which was great!!). Lastly, the HQ of this office is absolutely amazing, because at the beginning when our tour guide was running a little late I contacted them via online to check to see what is going on and within about 2-6 minutes someone from the HQ called me to give me the information I was asking for. If you love nature and the outdoors; you will not regret taking this tour!!!

Hubby and I are currently in Portland for my birthday and decided to take the tour (easier than driving and trying to find parking). There were only 5 of us, and our driver Zeke was very friendly, informative and helpful. We really enjoyed the tour that day. Thanks for the wonderful experience during our short stay!

Mark was very knowledgeable and made our tour enjoyable. Seeing the waterfalls and Mt Hood was great. We stopped at a family run fruit stand. The Rainier cherries and hard cider were excellent. It was a great day

Our guide , Mark, was fantastic! Mark provided insight during the drive, helpful information at each location, and was an all around fun and interesting person. Our college kids enjoyed as much as we did. Absolutely recommend.

Zek is a wonderful tour guide/host! He is full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the area. The stops on this tour were beautiful. We especially loved the lunch break in the town of Hood. Terrific lunch spots and trendy boutiques and local artist shops. My only suggestion is that the stop there could be more than an hour to allow time for eating lunch as well as walking around the town/shops. It’s a busy tourist town so most of the sit down restaurants had at least a 40 minute wait for a table which wouldn’t leave enough time to eat there and there was even a 20 minute wait for food at the counter restaurants so that barely left any time to walk around either. Perhaps the last stop at the Lodge could be shortened from the 40 mins to 20 to add on at least 20 minutes to the lunch stop.
