Such a great time with my friends! Almost didn't make it but glad we pulled through. Such a scenic tour and was happy to see Louisiana wild life. Our captain, was one hell of a guy! Entertaining and knowledgeable on the environment and habitat. Captain Sherman I believe was his name - loving the southern hospitality!

Awesome tour for us desert dwellers. We went on a boat! In a swamp! We saw critters! Turtles, raccoons, feral pigs, blue heron. (No gators - wrong time of year for them.) We saw and learned about the trees, flowers, grasses, Spanish Moss, and their uses. We saw homes where people live on or adjoining the water. Captain Gary explained everything we saw and is funny as heck. And, D'Wayne did a great job driving us to and from the swamp, showing us neighborhoods and talking about Katrina and her aftermath.

Despite the cold weather, my daughter and I had a wonderful time. We learned that a swamp is a flooded forest. In contrast, a bayou is a slow-moving body of water. We got to see a baby alligator swimming in the water and an adult alligator sunbathing on a rock. We saw raccoons, slider turtles, a snowy egret, blue herons, fishing spiders, and a banana spider. The tour guide -- I think his name was Tim -- was wonderful. We would love to come back and see the swamp when the weather is warm.

We had a bit of a mix up on the transportation, but it all got ironed out. The tour was really fun, our guide was full of info and very funny! We saw 2 small gators, and one pretty bigun sunning herself on the banks. It was a great day!

The trip got off to a shaky start when we were told to be at the pick up point at 8am (prompt and bus would go if you were not on time) then the coach did not arrive till 8.50. fortunately we had a very witty driver Danielle who made us all laugh and spoke well about the area and its ups and downs, Once at the Swamp we were introduced to our boats captain Gary. This guy is awesome, funny clever and polite all in one, we loved his banter and could see he loved what he did. We saw alligators, wild boar, chipmunks and racoons. I would definately recommend this trip to anyone.

What a blast! I was on the fence with a swamp tour. Did one once in FL, saw some alligators but otherwise it was long, boring and BUGGY!This trip was the opposite. Being off season helped with the heat and bugs but we saw plenty of wildlife- alligators, raccoons and wild boar while also learning about the changing ecosystem. However, the icing on the cake (and filling in the middle) was Capt. Luka. He is a native and passionate about the swamp and the lifestyle it affords the localpeople. Serenity, beauty and simple pleasures. That being said, he was far from simple. Incredibly bright, witty and playfully engaged with wildlife, felloe colleagues on passing boats and patrons. Great, passionate storyteller too! This was a great trip. Definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Chris, our swamp guide was excellent! Since he grew up in this area, he knew what it took to provide the best tour for our group. He knew right where to look for alligators and pigs. His stories and humor kept it entertaining! I’d definitely go again!
