This page is reserved for introductory dives for people who do not have a dive level.
Moorea Fun Dive is located on a beautiful white sandy beach in the northwest of the island. This is the only dive center in Moorea that is not in a hotel.
We offer diving trips in small groups throughout the year. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced, you will dive in the best conditions of supervision and safety.
Morning exploration dives for the confirmed. Meet at the centre at 8am
Introductory dives, refreshments and afternoon training. Meet me at the center at 1:00.
Possibility of private diving & snorkeling tours.
*We do not make pickups.

What To Expect
For your initiation dive.
After a briefing of about 30 minutes on board, a baptismal dive lasts between 20 and 30 minutes, it all depends on your air consumption and your ease underwater. It is 1 monitor for 2 people max.
The maximum depth is 6 m but before you get there you descend gently to balance your ears around 2m. Of course, the monitor stays very close to you and nothing is mandatory. You don’t have to go down if it doesn’t go well, the monitor will see it if it does and won’t insist.
In general, it goes very well.
Once you have balanced your ears you can explore the site with your instructor to observe all the marine flora and fauna of the area, rich in fish of all colors and other marine inhabitants.
Diving is done in a protected place, on the pretty site of L'Aquarium, in the lagoon, at the entrance of a pass.

Participants in the Baptism: introductory dive at Moorea Fun Dive cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (-10).
