We will then join the Leeward high, which has been renamed to the Nelson Mandela Highway. In passing you will get to see The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, The Victoria Park - a small stadium which is also referred to as Carnival City during the Carnival season, The Botanical Gardens which is the oldest garden of it's kind in the western hemisphere, Our industrial area Campden park and then on to the picturesque Buccament Bay. Layou Village

A short distance to the north of buccament bay is the settlement of Layou. Layou was one of the first areas of settlement by the French, who were the first Europeans to settle in St. Vincent and The Grenadines in the early part of the eighteenth century. Even before then the Caribs used it as one of their settlements, as it is evident from the petroglyphs which are found in the area.We will be making a stop here in Layou for photos

Our next stop is the fishing village of Barrouallie. Barrouallie was established by French settlers in 1719, the first European colony on St. Vincent. It was once the capital of St.Vincent and the Grenadines. With the rest of the island, it passed back and forth between the French and the British, finally remaining in the hands of the latter.Within Saint Patrick Parish, Barrouallie is both the largest city and the parish capital. The area is known for fishing and is famous for "Blackfish". Due to the surrounding mountains, the town is shaped into a hole that has over time has protected the town from volcanic eruptions.

Chateaubelair is a large fishing village on the Leeward (west) coast of Saint Vincent, the main island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is located just south of the volcano La Soufrière. Commonly referred to as just "Chateau", it is the focus and largest community in the North Leeward constituency of St. Vincent, and the fourth largest town in the country.Local attractions include Trinity Falls, Darkview Falls, and rock carvings which are an archaeological find and are believed to have been left by Carib Indians. Dark View Falls

Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. There is a short and easy hike to the falls through rainforest and across the Richmond River via either a bamboo bridge or conventional bridge. You pass through a clearing in the middle of a pretty bamboo grove before reaching the first tall waterfall. Another short, but more difficult walk will take you up to the second waterfall, directly above the first. The waterfalls flow all year from a tributary of the Richmond River.

  • Cool Rewards is a loyalty program operated by Cool Destinations. Rewards may be earned by any eligible person holding a Cool Destinations account, subject to the Cool Destinations customer Terms of Use.

Earning rewards

  • Rewards can be earned by making bookings on the Cool Destinations website. You will be able to see the value of the rewards you can earn during the booking process.
  • Earned rewards will be issued in a pending state and will move to a confirmed state 24 hours after the start time of the experience.
  • Earned rewards will be available to redeem once they are no longer in a pending state.
  • For bookings that are moved to a different travel date, the rewards will be redeemable after the amended travel date.
  • If a booking where rewards were issued is canceled, the earned rewards will not be redeemable and will be moved to a canceled state.

Redeeming rewards

  • To redeem rewards, you must be logged into your Cool Destinations account.
  • Any available rewards will be automatically applied the next time you make a booking, and their value will be deducted from your order at checkout, unless you choose not to apply them, which requires you to indicate this via the toggle switch. Bookings made using rewards are subject to the standard Cool Destinations Customer Terms of Use.
  • You will not be able to redeem only a portion of your available rewards at checkout. It is only possible to redeem all or none of your available rewards.
  • There is no minimum order value required to redeem your rewards. This means that you can pay for 100% of your order with rewards.
  • Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
