The Upper King Street Walking Food Tours was really nice. We enjoyed the delicious food and the history of the area. I would recommend it. Virginia on King Street Restaurant was definitely a treat! Cornbread to die for-fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. Yum!

Gordon was a fabulous guide. Being a past chef he provided detailed information about the traditional Southern foods we tasted. The historic information he passed to us was both interesting and thought provoking. We tasted a variety of foods and the flavors were spot on.

First , I need to compliment Blake with the highest honors possible. We were on the Charleston Stroll with Blake, and then we had Blake on the Savor the Flavors Food Tour. Blake is so polite and checks on his customers at each stop, making sure they are ok.
Blake , a witty, funny guy but an “old soul” with the wealth of knowledge he has about Charleston! A smart dresser, quick thinker and a great people person who loves to share his city with everyone.
Blake guided us to 5 different restaurants, shared highlights as we walked to these establishments and then we enjoyed everything from creamy Charleston grits, popcorn with salted truffle oil, She-Crab Soup, fried green tomatoes, French cookies and chocolates.
Blake is very familiar with these restaurants but he also is very knowledgeable about many places so he is able to give great suggestions.
When the tour comes to an end, you want to rush and sign up with Bulldog Tours for another tour with BLAKE!

Blake was an incredible tour guide. He is born and raised in Charleston and therefore provided detailed information about the city, history and cuisine. He also recommended additional restaurants, bars and food scenes to us to enhance our Charleston trip. I loved that we visited an old historic house and learned about its history as well. If you are a true foodie, tour with Blake, he will not disappoint!! And of course the food was delicious. Best corn bread I’ve ever had, and amazing she-crab soup!
