Benjamin was our tour guide with Pineapple Tours. He was so knowledgeable and made wove into amazing stories the history of Charleston. Highly recommend this tour with Benjamin!

Benjamin was awesome! My wife and I love history and this tour exceeded our expectations which were already high! Our guide is born and raised in Charleston and did an outstanding job explaining the history of this awesome city in a very thorough and immersive way. We learned a lot while our guide kept it fun and interesting. 10/10 would recommend and wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We had a wonderful Two hour tour, and our guide had a wealth of information. He dressed the part as he walked us through the history of pirates not only in Charleston, but along the coast. He was able to answer any question we possibly could have, but also provided a vast amount of information based on the research he has done over the past 16 or so years. Make sure you are wearing walking shoes, and clothing sufficient for the weather. This tour is well worth you time and money.

This was the perfect walking to where for our family! Our children are ages 10, 10, 12, and 13. Neal was our tour guide and he was incredibly well educated, having his Master’s degree in Hisrory, and also talked of personal and heartfelt stories about history, heritage, and family. We learned so much about the rich history of the city in an engaging and easily walkable way. Highly recommend this tour if your visiting Charleston or Folly Beach and want a little history insight as well!

This tour was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Don't bother looking at other groups; just confidently choose Pineapple Tour Group.Our family of four plus a baby was extremely pleased with our walking tour with owner Benjamin. It was just us (such a bonus!) and we had an amazing time.We were hesitant to do a walking tour of Charleston as we were concerned that the information given would gloss over or tread in euphemisms when it comes to Charleston's inextricable link to the slave trade and that history. Benjamin addressed this frequently and head on, and we truly appreciated that.He was charismatic, super funny, and had an informed answer to EVERY question. Plants? He could identify them. Architecture? He knew it. History? Boom, here's the answer.We learned so much and had a lot of fun. He was very accommodating to a more leisurely walking pace as we were navigating a stroller over the uneven streets, gave us great lunch recommendations, and was all in all just really fantastic.I would happily book this tour again if I visited the city with other friends and frankly, I almost hate to leave such a good review because I want to company to stay slightly under the radar so we don't have to go with one of the big groups we kept passing!10/10!
