Our tour guide/driver Ken really knew the island and imparted that knowledge for 3 hours. It was enjoyable and interesting and never boring. The van was comfortable and it was a great way to spend the afternoon for our first visit to Martha’s Vineyard.
Our tour guide seemed to know the history of nearly every building and other feature on Martha's Vineyard. He was very articulate and kept the passengers interested. He was most helpful to my wife and I in getting on and off the van.
The tour was very good in my opinion; it was thorough and took us to all the major towns and landmarks on the island up to the Aquinnah Cliffs. The tour guide was also very knowledgable and friendly. Would recommend to all first time visitors to the island; particularly if you do not have a car.
Great day on Martha's vineyard. Very knowledgeable tour guide..great job.Enjoyed 3 hour tour..nice new air conditioning on Ford Tra sot Connect vehicles 8
We took the ferry to Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. The tour was about 3 hours long 7 people in a 12 passenger van. They wanted to put in 4 more people which would have made it extremely crowded given that everyone had a camera bag, purse or day pack, plus our rain gear. That would have been very uncomfortable. After al they billed it as a small group tour.
The guide was knowledgeable but there was no time for photography except at maybe 3 stops for bathroom or food breaks. Taking photos through tinted and scratched van windows that don't open doesn't work. Basically we were disappointed with the restrictions of this kind of touring.
After the tour we went back to the Methodist church camp to take photos of the gingerbread cottages which was quite nice
